GASC Playground Fundraisers! 50/50 Sale & Family Dance

Thank you for your support of the Glen Allan School Council’s Playground Fundraisers!

The Grade 1-4 playground areas (behind the school) are slated for replacement in 2025/26 as per Strathcona County’s equipment lifecycle policy.

As a non-profit organization, GASC has the ability to fundraise and apply for grant funding to increase the available budget that the county has allotted for the playground replacement.

Net funds raised by the 50/50 sale and family dance will contribute to our overall fundraising goal of $25,000. With $12,300 raised to date, we are nearly halfway to our goal with less than three months to go before the May 31 deadline.

These projects provide GASC with a great opportunity to act in its fundraising capacity to get the best playground possible--not only for our kids, but as a wonderful enhancement to the Glen Allan community.

We are grateful for your support!

We are happy to announce the return of the Glen Allan Elementary Annual Family Dance!  It will take place in the school gym on Friday April 5, 2024.  Tickets will be available starting on March 15 at

Single tickets are $5 and a family (up to 6 people) is $20.

There will be a 50/50 draw, photo booth, concessions, face painting, temporary tattoos, games, prizes and some super wild tunes!  Please bring cash as there will be no debit or credit accepted.

To make the night an extraordinary experience for the students we will need a lot of help.  If anyone is able to volunteer a little of their time, please contact Sheila Connolly at for more information.

We encourage everyone to dress as their favorite jungle animal or in anything with a jungle animal print.  Best dressed will get a special treat from the Queen of the Jungle.  Keep in mind that the black lights will make anything neon glow!
