Good Afternoon Glen Allan Elementary families,
The staff of Glen Allan Elementary want to thank you for your support as we finish our second week of school. We recognize that there have been challenges and are grateful for your patience and understanding, particularly those families trying to navigate out-of-school learning. I am personally grateful for the commitment the staff have shown to making school safe while focusing on making meaningful connections with students.
The month of September will fly by. We are very proud of how quickly students have adjusted to the different ways of doing things and it is wonderful to see them enjoying school while maintaining safety protocols.
Typically, we would look forward to meeting parents and families at our Meet the Staff evening. In place of an in-person evening, please watch for a video from your child’s teacher that will be emailed to you on Thursday, September 17.
We would also like to welcome and encourage you to join us for our first virtual Glen Allan School Council (GASC) meeting on Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 p.m. The link to join the meeting will be emailed out the day of the meeting to remind you as well. The agenda is posted on our website if you want a sneak peek!
If you have not already done so, please complete the Correction and Verification Form through your PowerSchool Parent Portal. Having up-to-date information is important and we ask that you complete the form by September 20, 2020. If you need some assistance, we can help you.
